2025 Leadership Updates
At District Conference November 17, we elected 87 individuals to serve as District Lay Members to Annual Conference. Also serving will be Youth members: Lydia Ohlendorf, Rilee Feagan, Atticus Lockerman, and Ryan Zimmerman, and Young Adult members: Adeline Sokolowski, Amanda Armstrong, Ashley Bailey, and Emma Megginson.

At the District Conference November 17, 2024, we elected two new people for a three-year term to the District Leadership Board (DLB): Mark Snider (Shady Grove – Mechanicsville) and Laura Vassar (Mt. Pleasant – Amherst).
At the District Conference November 17, 2024, we approved three people for a three-year term to the District Board of Church Location and Building (DBCLB). These individuals’ names will be brought forward at the 2025 Annual Conference for election: Rev. Mike Mayton (Bon Air), Bessie Owens (Wesley Memorial – Richmond), and Kip Robinson (Lakeside).

Local Church Forms
These forms are to be completed on an annual basis.
JOINT PREFERENCE FORM
- The Joint Preference form, also known as the S/PPRC and Pastor Annual Recommendation form, is completed by the Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee and the Pastor and is due to the District Office by January 1. This indicates to the District Superintendent what the church and pastor desire regarding the upcoming appointment starting in July.
CLERGY EVALUATION
- The Clergy Evaluation is completed by the Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee in consultation with the Pastor and is due to the District Office by June 1.
ANNUAL HOUSING ALLOWANCE REVIEW
- If the pastor at your church receives a Housing Allowance, then the Annual Housing Allowance Review is to be completed by the Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee and Trustees and submitted to the District Office by June 1.
Annual Parsonage Review
- For those churches owning a parsonage, the Annual Parsonage Review should be completed and submitted to the District Office by June 1.
Staying Connected
The District Administrator is available Monday – Friday by phone and email 8:30am-4:30pm and in-person one day in the District Office per week (usually Tuesdays). The District Superintendent, Coordinator for Innovations, and Coordinator for Vitality are available by appointment only.

A monthly district newsletter is distributed by email the first Wednesday of each month. Articles and pictures may be submitted to TNDistrict@vaumc.org by the last Friday of each month for the following month’s newsletter. The current newsletter is accessible on this website under Resources.

UnityWeb is the Virginia Conference’s database system and is used to connect local churches, districts, and conference people and structures. It was launched in January 2023 and replaced the EVC system.
