In service to the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…”
– 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Rev. Pamela J. Anderson

Vitality Coordinator, Three Notch’d District

Pam Anderson was born into a close-knit family with deep roots in Virginia dating back to the early 1600’s.  In her family tree are many ties to Christian service from lay leaders, to pastors, to church planters from the shores through the Piedmont to the Blue Ridge.

She has a passion for travel, architecture, and learning about different cultures which has led her to visit 30+ countries.  But her love for family and the Commonwealth of Virginia with its diverse geography, ever changing weather, and dynamic population keeps her grounded and always returning home.  She was born in Alexandria, raised in Chesterfield, and resides in Midlothian.

She continued family Christian traditions through lay leader servanthood, a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, and as Director of Congregational Excellence as well as a licensed local pastor.  With a love of methodical thought and creative arts, she earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University, while concurrently pursuing abstract theory, earning an AS Degree in Physics from J.S. Reynolds.  In her current role as Vitality Coordinator for the Three Notch’d District, she is able to apply vast executive leadership, innovation, and business skills obtained in a successful career in the nuclear industry as an Engineering Manager.

Whether churches are seeking a shift to growth, lay leaders want to improve programs, or pastors need clarity with direction, Pam enjoys joining you on your path.  Led by 1 Thessalonians 5:11, she walks with you guiding and encouraging the pursuit of joy and fulfillment on the journey.  For balance you will often find Pam spending time in nature hiking family property in Albemarle, playing sports with the family children, or at a gathering in community over a good meal.
